Kyle Fortune
I’ve loved architectural design for as long as I can remember—I was sketching houses before I even knew what a floor plan was. I grew up working in construction, learning how homes come together from the ground up, which shaped how I approach design today. I later earned my degree in business management, giving me the structure and strategy to run projects smoothly. When I’m not working, I like to spend time outdoors hiking, skiing, and camping.
ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS
What’s the difference between a custom home design and a stock plan?
Custom Homes are built from the ground up, whereas stock plans have already been designed prior to client input. Custom homes offer greater flexibility at the cost of time and cost. The option to modify stock plans offers a great jumping point towards a home that fits your needs and can be built in a timely manner.
Can I modify a stock plan to fit my site, budget, or preferences?
Stock plans offer a great way to get started immediately with the home building process, but in order to truly make your house your own we will always offer the option to tweak plans to better fit your personal needs. Feel free to reach out via email and our team will be happy to assist.
Do I need to use a specific builder, or can you work with mine?
You can use any qualified builder; we design independently of construction.
How long does the custom home design process usually take?
Most custom homes take several months from kickoff to permit-ready drawings, depending on scope and responsiveness.
What’s included in your plans, and are they permit-ready?
Plans include detailed construction drawings suitable for permitting, subject to local code and review requirements. Additional deliverables include walkthroughs, 3D renderings, sun studies, and 360 degree panoramas depending on what tier you select.
Will I need an engineer or additional consultants?
We are a one stop shop that provides everything you need to submit our plans to your builder. Site specific variations may require qualified professionals such as a site engineer.
Can you design to a specific budget or square footage target?
We offer multiple models that fit a variety of space and budgets that can further be customized to meet a specific price or square footage.
How many revisions are included, and what happens if I need more?
Custom home design is deeply personal, so we offer options for revisions in all tiers of custom home design. Our silver tier offers up to 3 rounds of revisions, Gold tier offers up to 5, and our diamond tier offers up to 7. No matter what tier you choose we also offer revisions beyond those included for an extra fee.
What don’t you do, and when should I look elsewhere?
We don’t act as architects of record, engineers, or builders—if you need those services directly, you’ll need additional professionals.
